Podcast: How new business models can thrive next to the existing one's

Innovation is and remains a key success factor for SMEs and family businesses, as shown by the study "What makes SMEs successful: success principles of the best companies" (p. 18ff.) in the publication "Germany's SMEs 2020" by the RKW Competence Centre. Those who do not continue to develop and innovate are finding it increasingly difficult on the market. Medium-sized and family businesses are therefore asking themselves the question: How can innovation and progress become an integral part of the business?

Innovation sometimes arises by chance and on the basis of fortunate circumstances. But it also arises through continuous company development and innovation processes. To break new ground and to be able to think in a truly disruptive way, modern corporate structures and entrepreneurial courage are needed. In the new episode of the RKW Competence Centre's podcast series "Chefsachen", our Managing Partner Christian Wewezow therefore talks about new business models and corporate start-ups. According to the SME expert, spin-offs can be a sensible strategy for companies that want to make innovation an integral part of their corporate culture and dare to think progress not only experimentally but radically. It is important to reactivate or initiate the spirit of optimism of the past.
