Innovation push in startups and industry using Berlin as example

Elon Musk's company Tesla is currently building a new production site in Berlin's catchment area and will thus bring a new dynamic to the region. However, the Gigafactory will not only create new jobs and better infrastructure, but also new opportunities and challenges for the economy. Used correctly, these opportunities can have a positive impact on Berlin as a business location, attract new investors and spark a surge of innovation in start-ups and industry. But what needs to be done so that the German economy can benefit from the American car factory?

At the IWR International Lunch on the topic "Berlin the metropolitan region of the future? Are Tesla & Co attracting other investors, start-ups and international industry to Berlin's Speckgürtel?" on 27 May 2021, our Managing Partner Christian Wewezow will discuss the impact of the new factory on the Berlin metropolitan region with Sebastian Czaja (parliamentary party leader of the FDP in the Berlin House of Representatives), Martina Hacker (Managing Director of KPM Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur Berlin GmbH) and Christian Pech (Deputy Supervisory Board of Investitionsbank Berlin). During the digital event, the experts will shed light on the complex of topics from different perspectives.
