Next Generation - ways to solve the succession

As an expert for SMEs and family businesses, our Managing Partner Christian Wewezow has been appointed as an honorary member of the RKW Competence Centre's advisory board "Business Management and Innovation". At the last meeting of the RKW Competence Centre's "Start-up" advisory board, he gave an exciting talk as a guest on "Next Generation - Ways to solve business succession".

As a non-profit advisor, the RKW Competence Centre supports small and medium-sized businesses and family businesses in developing their competitiveness and innovative strength and provides advice to entrepreneurs. Christian Wewezow therefore presented to the members of the "Start-up" advisory board the possibilities for successfully organising a succession. With practical examples, he underlined that this also requires a lot of creativity.

The SME expert also emphasised the potential of the next generation and reminded the audience of neglected groups of the next generation. According to the SME expert, women, students and people with a migration background often receive too little attention in the search for a suitable SME succession solution. However, companies can increase their chances of a successful succession if these groups are also considered as potential succession candidates.
