For a successful cooperation between SMEs and startups, some general conditions must be right. In our experience, when working with SMEs and startups, particular attention should be paid to compatibility in terms of content and values. The values, interests and objectives of the leaders and both companies should be highly compatible or match each other. Because if the values and personalities of both companies do not harmonise, the desired synergy effects of a cooperation cannot be generated.
